Western Medicine
Modern Western medicine is a relatively young form (19th century) of medicine with an evidence-based approach to diagnosis and treatment.
It is the basis for knowledge of the physical structure and function of our body. This science gives us a lot of insight into how our body works and reacts.
It emphasizes scientifically based methods, such as medication, surgery and advanced technology, to treat diseases.
A mesologist is thoroughly trained in subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, embryology, biochemistry, neurology, psychology and pharmacology and - if necessary - has contact with your GP and/or medical specialist, or can refer you specifically.
