Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has developed over thousands of years and is much older than Western medicine.
One of the principles is to look at the whole person when complaints arise.
TCM focuses not only on the body, but also on mental, social, emotional and existential well-being.
This approach strongly emphasizes the body's natural ability to recover. Important foundations are: yin and yang (balance), Qi (free flow of energy), the five elements (fire, earth, metal, water and wood), and the meridian system.

Ayurveda
Ayurveda is a more than 5000 year old health doctrine from India based on the universal principles of nature.
It means ‘knowledge of life’ and focuses on balancing body, mind and soul.
Ayurveda sees man as part of nature, an interplay of three bio-forces (doshas): movement (Vata), transformation (Pita) and structure (Kapha).
Everyone is a unique combination of these three forces, or constitutions. These three forces can also be found in the seasons, age phase, nutrition and types of disorders.
