The consultation

Anamnesis
After scheduling the appointment, you will receive the intake-forms and a nutritional anamnesis.
A nutritional anamnesis gives insight into your dietary pattern.
The intake form is an extensive questionnaire about the complaint(s), the history, about nutrition, and the current circumstances.
A few days before the appointment, the forms can be returned by email.
During the consultation, the forms will be discussed in detail to get the best possible picture of the cause behind the complaints.
Tongue and Pulse Examination
With pulse and tongue diagnostics, from Eastern medicine such as traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda, the cooperation of different organs is examined.
The tongue and pulse provide a lot of information about the organs and their functioning. For example, the beat, pressure, and strength of the pulse are examined. And the color, shape, coating, and moisture of the tongue.
Physical examination
Just like with a general practitioner, a visceral (abdominal) examination is performed if necessary.

How does the abdomen feel, does the abdomen feel tense, is the abdomen sensitive? These are all indicators to find out the cause of the complaints.
If necessary, I can refer you to other disciplines such as chiropractors or osteopaths.

EPD
During the extensive examination, approximately 80-100 measuring points are measured on hands and feet. The points correspond to the measuring points from acupuncture.
All these points have their own resistance value. The value gives an impression of the functioning of the organ systems in the body.
If an abnormal value is measured, I will look for a suitable solution to restore the dysfunction.

During the EPD, nutrition, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, supplements, and hormones will be tested as well, to figure out how the body reacts to those substances, and whether the body absorbs the nutrients.
